SWSI personnel were contracted to help with the startup of a new laboratory in South Eastern US. The facility would include a formulation laboratory to prepare small quantities of materials for testing as possible consumer products and an analytical laboratory to determine the composition of the samples shipped for testing. The laboratory was under construction at the time of contract start, with equipment such as chemical fume hoods and flammable storage cabinets delivered while onsite. Initial assessments included a site safety audit and identification of issues, prioritizing based on OHSA compliance, permitting operational requirements, system functional operational requirements and operational best practices.
Through direct field work, supplier/contractor management and regulatory consultation, this project was able to save the client in excess of $400,000 USD.
